Aluminum Foil Camping Recipes

Nobody wants to have sticky, greasy pots and pans to wash on a camping trip. This is especially true when hot water is scarce. Here are some aluminum foil camping recipes that you can try on your next camping trip.

Fresh Fish

Ingredients:
Fresh fish
Fish seasoning and spices
Lemon, wedged
Sliced onion
Non-stick cooking spray
Heavy duty aluminum foil

Preparation:
Allow the person who caught the fish to clean it. Spray non-stick cooking spray on your aluminum foil. Sprinkle the cleaned fish with seasoning and spices before placing on the foil. Top with sliced onions and lemon wedges. Fold the aluminum foil around the fish and seal tightly. Place on the campfire and cook until the fish is nice and flaky.

Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients:
Butter
Diced green pepper
Diced red pepper
Diced onion
Sliced potatoes
Salt and pepper
Non-stick cooking spray
Heavy duty aluminum foil

Preparation:
Spray non-stick cooking spray onto a large sheet of foil. Add sliced potatoes, diced onions, and diced green and red peppers. Sprinkle salt and pepper over potatoes and place dabs of butter on the top of the potatoes. Fold foil up and around potatoes so they are sealed. Place the foil pack on top of hot fire coals and cook for 20 to 30 minutes.

Camper’s Stew

Ingredients:
Can of peas
  Diced carrot
Diced meat of your choice
Diced onions
Diced potatoes
Salt and pepper
Non-stick cooking spray
Heavy duty aluminum foil

 

Preparation:
Spray non-stick cooking spray onto a large sheet of foil. Combine diced meat, carrots, onions, potatoes, and a can of peas. Pour mixture into the center of the foil. Fold the foil up and around the stew and seal securely. Place the pack on top of hot coals and cook for 45 minutes. Rotate and turn the pack every ten minutes.

 

Chicken Delight

Ingredients:
1 chicken breast per camper
Butter
Diced onions
Sliced cabbage
Sliced mushrooms
Sliced potatoes
Seasoning and spices
Non-stick cooking spray
Heavy duty aluminum foil

Preparation:
Spray non-stick cooking spray onto a sheet of foil. You will need one sheet per camper. Place a well seasoned chicken breast on each sheet of foil. Top with onions, cabbage, mushrooms, potatoes, and dabs of butter. Add salt and pepper. Fold the foil and seal. Cook on top of open coals for one hour or on a grill. Serve with salad and bread.
