Bellingham RV Park
Bellingham, Washington

I thought a long time about approaching the man that had just come out of his beautiful motorcoach and was putting away his gear. I had heard his traveling companions already summon him to come get a bite to eat before heading out to Prince George, British Columbia and then onto Alaska. But then I remembered our clients and knew I had to spread "the word". Besides, he had already taken time out to pose with the owners and their newborn baby, so... I put a business card in my left hand and went over. I said, "Mr. Borgnine, I hear you are heading for Alaska?" With that he turned around with a smile. It made my day. I shook his hand, handed him the card and told him about Cruising America!
Bellingham RV Resort appeals to every different type of traveler. The class A's like it because of it's convenience to I-5 and room for turning their coaches around. The overnighters for much the same reason but also because of all the retail and grocery stores near the park. And the monthly renters because Bellingham has lots of events and is a major stayover point for those that will be getting on the ferries, taking them to Alaska and beyond. But best of all (in our humble opinion!) is the fact that they have a limited number of instant phone hookup sites!
The new registration building houses the immaculate showers, restrooms and a great little snack bar area complete with a coffee bar. There were phones available and a separate area with a table, chair and modem connection. There was information about the areas activities. And tons of information about parks and events as far away as Idaho and Alaska. There were also maps and camping directories there.
 | There were three gas stations just outside the park so it kept the gas prices very reasonable and a hotel is right next door if friends without camping ability should decide to visit. We had a phone hookup at our site and for the second time found the hookups all in one box. We wish every campground had these but can understand that this is pretty new to camping. |

| The grounds were highlighted with flowers and shrubs and those that were staying for an extended time had bought extra flower planters and it really was icing on the cake. The park was clean, the grass was freshly cut and the folks taking care of us, couldn't have been nicer. And like a sign, the night before we left there was a glorious rainbow. | |
If you find yourself on I-5 in northern Washington and are in need of a great park, check out their Website, give them a try and tell them Cruising America said "Hi"!
