A storybook in the making. Their children of the owners found the long veranda handy when they needed a place to make the high school football banners. And there were many other stories to share about the 16 room inn.
I found myself going from room to room just GAWKING AT what it had to offer. I walked the block into the Historical District and enjoyed all the little shops full of yesteryear goodies and the new stuff too. Then I had hot wings at Hannah's Restaurant.
It started to get chilly, with the sun going down so I headed back for the inn and visited with the other guests. On the tour of the home, I noticed every situation of sleeping was available at the inn. I had a sherry and then headed up to "The Blue Room" (#9), mine for the evening.

The room had a fan above the king size bed. A fireplace and room control thermostat took care of the heat, while a window air conditioner stood at the ready to cool the room. There was TV, a phone and private bathroom. It had a claw foot tub with French head shower. And it was complete with a rubber duck. Candles, strategically placed, offered softer lighting.
There was an alarm/radio clock beside the bed. A huge closet begged me to move in but this is just for the night. I showered and then relaxed for a few moments or so it seemed, too quickly I could smell breakfast being prepared... ummm... just follow your nose...

The breakfast room was one of the largest I had seen. Two young ladies served the guests and were great at their jobs. I started with tea, apple juice, banana, yogurt and cereal. Next came a peach crisp. The main course of French Toast with bacon and sausage was fantastic.

I visited with guests for a while, got directions and headed off, feeling fresh and ready after another great B&B experience. What a job! Nice people, great inn and scrumptous food...ahhhh.
