Colorado Landing RV Resort La Grange, Texas We were invited to spend the Christmas holiday by Janetta, who was one of our first RV website clients! She's been with us forever! So, we were very pleased to be able to accept and really had a wonderful time! Janetta made every effort to make sure we saw as much of the town, county and park as possible. It was our first park that had incorporated a B&B into its concept. The B&B part is called the "Tree House" and proved to be an interesting alternative to RVing. The Clubhouse was decorated for Christmas when we arrived and everyone was preparing a dinner for the holidays. She took us Christmas light looking our first night at the park. There are some really nice homes in the La Grange area of Texas. The second day we dropped her off at a church for chorus practice. She let us use her car to follow Denise, who was in charge of the promotion committee from the Chamber of Commerce. We went to enjoy the town of Round Top and the sites along the twenty-mile drive back to La Grange. The gentle rolling hills of the countryside are full of historical landmarks and antique stores. Saturday was Christmas. Cindy had made cookies and we joined about 15 campers for a pot luck dinner in the clubhouse and I took pictures of all the day's events and fun. As we were waiting for dinner, Janetta soundly beat Cindy at a game of Chinese Checkers....before she learned that Janetta is the local champion! After dinner, I displayed the photos I had taken on Janetta's computer so everyone could enjoy them. It was so peaceful walking around the campground taking pictures along the river. The hawks in the trees looking for their dinner made for some great shots. The park is geared more towards fulltimers rather than being a destination park. The sites are large and level and Janetta has made major improvements and really believes in keeping it as clean as can be. She is proud of this park and has a right to be. Each site has a picnic table, garbage can and lots of room! Colorado Landing RV Community is a great place to stay in Texas and with all the plans that the La Grange Chamber has planned for next year, it will surely be their best. This is a great place to visit, start a business or move to. Make reservations at Colorado Landing and tell them hi for us!
