The Deerhill Inn & Restaurant

Linda and Michael Anelli's 15-room Deerhill Inn is one of the most successful we've encountered. It runs like a well oiled machine, yet there is nothing mechanical in the way they care about and take care of their guests. Returning to this Inn is like coming home to old friends. We were welcomed back with a hug and a smile!
The room boasted a desk and chair, side chair and rocker as well as a private bath. There were thick terry robes in the closet and sliding glass doors that led onto our patio. The patio overlooked one of the garden areas and the pool could be seen off to the right. As with all the rooms at Deerhill, the color schemes and decorations are all bright and cheery with large windows to catch the breeze. Everywhere you turn are fresh flowers and luscious green plants.
Linda had made us early dinner reservations so that we could catch the local fireworks that evening. Be sure to read our 2nd Dinner Review!. It was perfect, as always......hats off to Michael and his wonderful kitchen staff!
Upon returning from the White House in Wilmington, VT (from the fireworks show), we visited with customers that returned time and time again. We heard one guest say "It is the perfect place to fall in love." Another remarked "The waitresses, cooks and staff make your every visit just like it's the first."
The Deerhill has always been and will remain one of our favorite places to visit. The setting is high on a hill with wonderful views, peaceful, and welcoming. The staff is always available and Linda & Michael are tops in their field! Someday, we want to return during the Chrismas holidays. It is our bet that this is a truly magnificent setting when all decked out for the season!

When we visited with Linda and Michael last year, the pool area was under construction. This year, with it's completion and the landscaping, the guests were enjoying this break from the unusual heat wave.
Our room was one of the rooms with an open loft above and a wonderful quilt hanging over the side. It had a great king size four-poster bed that Mike would love to have in the motorhome....however......that would be a real feat!
