Flat Rock Inn
Flat Rock, NC

My room was on the second floor of this four room home. All the rooms have queen size beds and private bathrooms. My suite was the Colonial. Large pictures of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson highlighted the walls. My bed was a four poster canopied one. There was also a private bedroom that had two twin beds, perfect for a family.
We went back downstairs and into Sandi's haven... the kitchen. She offered cookies, cake and drinks. I caved in and gobbled down some cake and milk. With this as a snack, I was so looking forward to breakfast in the morning.
I ran back into Hendersonville (3 miles) for dinner and returned to the Inn early. I met a couple from Williamsburg, VA. that want us to review their area. Sounds great to me. I showed them some photos on our 2001 Ultimate Travel CD in one of the large common areas. Then I headed up to download all the photos of the day.
Lipton tea, orange juice, scones and orange wedges with poppy seeds started the meal. The main course was portebellow mushroom fratadas with sausages and grits with creamy cheese. Cindy missed a great one.
I hated to leave. It had been another great inn and I had met another set of folks in this industry that help make it such a success.

Breakfast smells woke me. I grabbed my travel book, the photo disks and hurried down to prepare for what smelled like a great start today.
