The entire bottom floor of the inn was ours. It is a completely furnished two bedroom apartment with three queen beds, that sleep up to six. Our room had a queen bed, common area with table and 4 chairs. There was a sofa, recliner, TV/VCR, full kitchen. Our bath had a tub/shower and there was a radio alarm. And plenty of extra blankets. What stood out most to me was that there was a laundry for us. This was another first.
After showering, we headed out with Dave and Kerinda to the Turtle Club for dinner, compliments of our hosts. We had prime rib, huge prawns and halibut. A great meal with great company. On the way back home we saw some of the equipment used to mine gold in the Fairbanks area earlier this century.
We returned to our floor and relaxed at the kitchen table. All the rooms at the "Pond" have queen beds. This home is only minutes from downtown but from the setting you feel hours away from anything stressful.

We went upstairs for a hearty country breakfast. We had homemade biscuits, jam, butter, bananas, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon and apples. We also had scrambled eggs and home fries with bacon. We visited with Dave for a while before he left for work.
When you are making plans to visit Alaska, please stop by their Website, make your reservations and tell them that Cruising America said HI!
This was to be our last stop/review in Alaska. We had a great time up here this summer, but it has been a long summer and we are looking forward to getting back to the lower 48 and a little slower pace.
