The Weston Fudge Shop
Weston, Vermont

For over 50 years, visitors to Weston have been enjoying the fudge and handmade confections at The Weston Fudge Shop.

We arrived at the Fudge Shop just as Jean finished making 60 pounds of fudge! Can you imagine being surrounded by all that good stuff ALL day long?!?!?!

Jean Knudsen, owner and fudge-maker, showed us around the shop and the kitchen where all that fudge sat cooling. She also had a batch melting away in the big copper kettle, getting ready for another go-round.

Everything is made from scratch, the old-fashioned way. They use the finest chocolate, Vermont cream and butter and freshly roasted nuts all blended in a manner unique to the Weston Fudge Shop. The shop is located in the Mill Yard Complex, just north of the Village Green in Weston. The shop is open daily in the summer and fall, closed Tuesday & Wednesday in winter & spring.

Jean fixed us up with a whole bag full of samples of the fudge and confections and even added 3 "bones" made of natural ingredients for Lexxus! With our treats in hand, we bid Jean goodbye and started off again, munching along the way. And what a treat the remainder of the trip was! Mike's first bite (SEE.....I KNEW he would sample the fudge as well...even though he's been telling everyone this was MY review!!!) elicited an OOOOOHHHHH! and he said his cheeks started to tingle........in Hinklese, this means that the fudge is really, really good and really, really sweet! It just melts in your mouth. The nuts were fresh and the caramel and chocolates were fabulous!

We heartily recommend a stop at the Weston Fudge Shop! If you can't be in the area, their fudge, handipped chocolates and dessert sauces and all the goodies are also available online or by mail order. Just visit their Website, place your order, tell them Cruising America says "Hi", then await the arrival of your fudge and ENJOY!
