Happy Place RV Park & Storage Florence, Oregon John Scherman and his wife have co-managed this property for over five years and took us on our tour. Before building, owner Bill Bennett traveled the states and studied different types of campground layouts with the goal of building the best park possible. He did a great job and it shows! The flowers that outlined the sites were in full bloom. It rained just a little while we were there and made the flowers looked like they were going to pop. There is no dirt, except for the planted areas that separate the sites. It made me think that anyone not wanting dirt or mud on their vehicle should make this their "home" park. The property is concrete and the utilities are all in one location as is shown in the diagram at the bottom of the review. Each site has instant phone hookups, 30 & 50 amp service and cable TV....all connected from the same box. Because the area is all paved, the sites were perfectly level and make hooking up very easy! There is a small store in the office. The showers and rest rooms in the adjoining recreation area were like new and there was an exercise room too, with a paperback book trade area, small sink, a picnic table and lots of chairs. Also available are indoor storage units large enough for even the biggest class A! The connection setup sure does make it easier and safer for those plugging in, even after dark. As a spot to explore the Oregon coast in Florence, we definitely give Happy Place RV Park a thumbs up!
