Ingrid's Inn
Soldotna, AK

On the way out of Soldotna on the way to Homer is a secluded B&B with private entrances and very nice people that make you feel at home in their home.

Ingrid and Al greeted us at the front door and welcomed us. We sat for a while in the living room and talked about our adventure. Then Ingrid took us on a tour of the home. There is a private entrance for guest at one end of the home and the most of the rooms were downstairs. They were extra large and had private baths. The home has an Alaskan decor and is spotless. Each bedroom had a different Alaskan theme.

Upstairs was two more rooms and were equally stunning. There was a large sitting room that looked like it should be in a magazine and a large table where Ingrid serves breakfast. The entire house was immaculate.

Our room had a king bed with private bath with shower. It had a large sitting area. There was a radio/alarm clock and the walls had various Alaskan animal portraits on them. We also had robes waiting for us. There was also a large common area with sofa, phone, TV/VCR, microwave, refrigerator, sink, dishes, coffee pot and sink.

I downloaded the email while Cindy took a shower. The grass had been freshly cut and the great smell entered through a window I had opened. Then Ingrid surprised us with strawberry rhubarb rumble from their garden. It was topped with vanallia ice cream. Boy it was the perfect end to another great day in Alaska. We headed off to sleep.

The next morning, we met the family upstairs and enjoyed breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon (with Ingrid's special twist), tea, coffee and orange juice.

The family wished us best wishes on our travels and prepared for church as we headed off to our next review. This is a great B&B! Contact them at their Website and tell them that Cruising America sent you their way!

This review was set up for us by Kim at the Soldotna Visitor Information Center, so be sure to stop by and tell her we said Hi!
