"K" Street Bed & Breakfast
Anchorage, AK

On our way back through Anchorage, we had promised to stop and review one of two inns owned by Kate Warrick.

We arrived early for the review and Kate had left instructions for us to make ourselves at home. She soon arrived and after visiting a while, took us on a tour of the home. After the photos were taken, she left to prepare her second property, called Midnight Sun, for pictures at that location.

I left Cindy at K Street (ostensibly working on our sites) After taking pictures at Midnight Sun, I went by the Mongolian restaurant we had eaten at when we stayed at another house earlier in the month. I brought dinner home for a surprise....only to find Cindy crashed out on the bed!. She was delighted that dinner had arrived.

There was a special dining table on the second floor overlooking the neighborhood below. We enjoyed dinner in our own little kitchen. Cindy enjoyed coffee in the common area just off the kitchen. We also had a shared bath with the other second floor roomie.

The inn is located only 4.2 miles from the airport. It is near the parks and historical interests. It is close to the coastal trail for hiking, biking and wildlife. Chugach State Park is only a short drive away.

Our room had a special bed in it. Our hostess is a qualified dealer for the company. The bed was special because it was part of the Tempur-Pedic collection. This is a pressure relieving Swedish mattress and pillow. This bed came with a 20 year warranty. All of Kate's rooms are outfitted with these beds. Neither of us remembered moving a muscle after we laid down. This was without a doubt, THE most comfortable bed we had ever slept on! (And with 131 B&B reviews behind us, we have slept in a LOT of beds!)

The next morning was another first for us. One of the guests prepared breakfast. We had cantaloupe, apple buckwheat pancakes, coffee, orange juice and hot tea.

These are great inns here in Anchorage and we recommend you check out Kate's Website, book a visit and tell her we said HI!
