We were greeted by Maggie Dexter at the front gate and were escorted to a site right in the middle of the park, fronting on the lake, which is the centerpiece at Limehurst. Our site was level, grassy and had a tree for shade. The picnic table was clean and not carved up by previous users. We barbecued that night and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
The most unique thing we found about this campground was that they have a really nice beach that is open to the public for a nominal fee. The beach was packed! There was even an area set aside for smaller swimmers.
We got settled in and rented a paddle boat (Cindy's first). What a blast! We then toured the rest of the park and found loads of things to do. A play area, swings, game room, snack bar, cabins, fishing and a pavillion. The laundry/shower building and phone were conveniently located to all sites. LP, firewood and tons of neat stuff fill the campground store where Maggie smiles from behind the counter.
But, then, there's the giant water slide! It is open to the public also for a small fee.

This is a real family park, a great Place to spend a week or two on vacation.
Oh yeah, Cable TV, too!
