We have stayed or dined at locations that have the carousel next to their name where they are listed in our guides.
We offer our reviews of them to help you plan your getaways!
When you stop by, please be sure to tell them we said, " HI!"

The Peninsula
Long Beach Peninsula, Washington

Curt Stephens, President of the Ocean Park Chamber of Commerce and owner of Ocean Park Resort requested a review from Cruising America. He organized dinner at The Ark and Doogers.

He took us to visit and meet the folks at the following businesses:
The Whalebone House B&B,
The Charles Nelson Guest House B&B,
The Dove Shire B&B
Moby Dick Hotel Restaurant & Oyster Farm
Weir Studios
and made a special stop at Jack's Country Store.

This is a great spot in America. The B&B's were all beautiful and yet each different. The owners graciously showed us the homes and I loved taking pictures. Weir Studios had gorgeous stain glass works and the food on the peninsula was second to none.

You would never guess that a small store like Jack's would rank third worldwide in sales of the famous Aladdin Lamps. They are collector's items and are highly sought after.

There were many more things we saw. Marsh's Free Museum in Long Beach is not only home to "Jake-The Alligator Man" but to hundreds of stuffed animals, old coin slot machines and roomfuls of "STUFF"!! We enjoyed it. Then there is the huge frying pan across the street from the museum that they use sometimes.

The lists of events that each chamber and area has is astounding and there is always something happening during the summer. So contact Curt Stephens and he'll point you in the right direction.

The Gallery

We promised to return and cover as much of the peninsula as we can.
