What a life this is! Getting to review some of the wonderful foods that are sent to us! And these cookies are a definite winner!

We received 2 well-packaged tins of cookies, the Ginger Crisps and the Sugar Crisps. The cookies are hand rolled, hand cut and hand packed and it shows! The sturdy red tins were chock full of stacks of wafer-thin cookies, each stack wrapped separately in soft paper. The tins were then packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. Not a cookie was broken in shipping!

Each one-pound bag of cookies contains around 100 cookies. How is that possible? Because the cookies are so fragile and thin that they just absolutely melt in your mouth when you eat them. The sugar crisps are heart shaped and the ginger crisps are round. Even after bouncing around with us for the past couple of weeks in the motorhome and being carried in and out as we visited and shared our treats, the cookies are still as fresh as when we received them.

I do have to admit a preference for the ginger crisps....ginger cookies have always been a favorite of mine, but these are wonderful! Micheal prefers the sugar cookies and we even gave Lexxus a taste, although she seemed to like them both equally.

Although available through mail order, the cookies are also on sale in their store at the factory - and be sure to take the tour! The cookie factory is located in the country on land that has been in the family for over 150 years. The Hanes' live next door and the whole family takes part, along with about 45 employees - who arrive every Monday-Friday at 6:30 am, rolling pins in hand!
