Unfortunately, things were hectic when we arrived at The Painted Porch. After a quick tour, our hostess showed us to the Cowboy Room on the second floor and a nice view of the snow-capped mountains.
One of the features that made our stay nicer was the motion lights in the hallway, which saved electricity and provided ample lighting.
Wood was the main ingredient to the room, as the chairs, tables & even the headboard were made of wood. The hand-painted dresser which sported a Yellowstone mural of a bear laying in a hammock, a fan, an southwestern style chair and a color TV with cable finished off the room. Personally, we appreciate a TV when visiting a B&B because we have so little time during the day to catch up on the news!
The bathroom had frolicing bears in the tiles and a shower. Everything was spotless throughout the house and we spent some time admiring the many antiques.
Breakfast was served at 8:15 sharp, composed of cantelope, hot scones, peach French Toast, orange juice and coffee.
