Grand Teton RV Park Resort

Located along the route from Dubois to Jackson Hole, Grand Teton Park RV Resort sits at the base of the Tetons and what a view!

Our stay at the Resort was unplanned, but thoroughly enjoyed! Returning from Jackson Hole, we had problems with "The Eagle". Being mechanically inclined as we are, we diagnosed the problem as "noises that shouldn't be there in the rear end"! We limped along until we reached the Resort and stopped there for "the night".

It was Sunday on Memorial Day weekend and in spite of the many phone calls made by Harry Washut, owner of the Resort, we were unable to locate a mechanic until Tuesday morning. Harry and some of his workcampers spent a good deal of time attempting to alleviate the noise in the rear end, but to no avail.

So, we were shown to a campsite and took a couple of days off - unexpected but a nice break nonetheless. The sites at the Resort are level, grassy and each has a picnic table and fire pit. The Resort is very well tended, with spotless showers, restrooms, laundry and grounds. There is a gameroom and playground area for the children, cabins of all sizes to fit any need and the gorgeous scenery thrown in too! With a fairly well-stocked grocery store onsite (since this was an unexpected stop and we hadn't planned our meals!), we were able to spend a very comfortable couple of days. Monday was our "anniversary" and we celebrated with one of Connie's pizzas in the dining area of the main building.

With our first breakdown of "The Eagle", we were fortunate enough to have it happen with a friend nearby! Harry and Connie made our stay most pleasant, in spite of our mechanical problems, with all the help they offered!
